Our work

A digital health platform built for the hardest places to deliver care.

The Hikma Health System is an open-source, offline-ready digital health platform built for the realities of low-resource and humanitarian settings. Designed in close partnership with frontline providers, it keeps every patient record secure, portable, and available when and where it matters most.

The problem

Most health records weren’t built for these realities.

Hikma Health was built to address them, by designing digital health systems that work where care is hardest to deliver.

  1. 01Fragmented care across NGOs, local clinics, and informal providers
  2. 02Overburdened clinicians and rising patient demand
  3. 03Paper records causing lost or incomplete patient information
  4. 04Chronic care requiring continuity and longitudinal data
  5. 05Existing EHRs not built for low-resource settings
The platform

Modular, interoperable, and built for the real world.

Organizations deploy only what they need and integrate with existing tools and workflows. A mobile app for clinicians, and a web portal for clinic administrators.

Online/offline sync

Records are stored on the device and sync with the server when a connection returns, so care continues through internet and power outages.

Multiple language support

Arabic, English, and Spanish, so Hikma Health can be deployed in diverse contexts beyond the English-speaking world.

A visit in fewer than 10 clicks

A simple interface designed for settings where each patient interaction averages five minutes.

A record that follows the patient

With the patient’s authorization, any clinician using Hikma Health can access their whole record, even if some of it was collected at a different clinic.

Rapid, customizable workflows

A built-in form builder lets clinic administrators create and adapt forms at any time, with no developer needed.

Reports and data export

Export and aggregate data across devices to understand the needs of your patient population, plan care, and report to funders.

Pharmacy and medication tracking

Track what was prescribed, what was dispensed, and what is running low.

Role-based privacy controls

Each team member sees only what their role requires, and patient data stays with the organization that collected it.

Unlimited users

Add every doctor, nurse, and volunteer on your team at no extra cost.

HERS
Launched in 2025

Connecting environmental conditions with patient health.

HERS links heat, air quality, and water safety with patient health records, so clinicians can see the risks patients face beyond the clinic.
